For each multiplet of this branch, the upper plots show the correlation confidence level, in percent, for the lateral correlation of the estimated splitting function and the predictions of Harvard model S12_WM13 and Scripps model SH.10c.17. A seperate line is shown for correlations at each (even) structural degree. Confidence levels for lateral correlations are discussed in the paper "Correlations Between Global Features of Terrestrial Fields" [Mathematical Geology, 16, 155-171, 1984], by D.H. Eckhardt. The lower two plots compare the root-mean-squared amplitudes of the estimated splitting functions and model predictions at each structural degree. This is done using the function: log(R); R=(estimated amplitude)/(predicted amplitude).
